HANSEN Yuncken has completed the Rundle Place retail project in Adelaide’s Rundle Mall.
The project for Pacific Shopping Centres consists of about 30,000 sqm gross floor area split over four levels. Major tenants include a full-line Coles supermarket and flagship Harris Scarfe department store, as well as a food court, over 60 specialty stores, additional service areas and parking.
“Rundle Place is a striking landmark within the CBD. The site has been home to Harris Scarfe’s flagship store for more than 90 years, and we’re very pleased to once again be part of the changing face of the Rundle Mall retail precinct,” Hansen Yuncken South Australia manager Peter Salveson said.
“This project had a tight completion schedule and was built to an exceptional quality standard At the same time we had to accommodate construction of a 12-level office tower above the retail precinct, which Hansen Yuncken is also managing,” he added.
Salveson said the office tower, which will accommodate Bendigo & Adelaide Bank’s new flagship offices in Adelaide, is on schedule for completion in October 2013.
The tower will feature 28,000 sqm of A-grade office tower is registered with the Green Building Council for a 5-star Green Star rating.
