INDEPENDENT buildings materials supplier Hardings Hardware has bought a substantial industrial complex in Dandenong South in Melbourne's south east, for $2.65 million.
Located at 25-31 Ventura Place the deal was negotiated by DTZ Australia agent Richard O’Callaghan.
The building with an area of 3,054 sqm on a site of 6,223 sqm has been purchased by the Hardings Hardware group for their own occupancy as a trade outlet. Founded over fifty years ago Hardings Hardware is one of the largest independently owned specialist building and renovation product suppliers in Australia.
O’Callaghan said that Hardings group already has outlets in Geelong West, Reservoir and Cranbourne in Victoria, as well as Acacia Ridge and Brendale in Queensland.
“So the proposed new Dandenong South trade outlet will give them an increased presence in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and the nearby growth corridors,” he added.
The building was originally constructed for and occupied by specialist boat builder Bar Crusher a manufacturer or quality aluminium boats.
O’Callaghan said that Bar Crusher has recently relocated nearby to a larger facility in Quality Drive Dandenong South and in consequence the Ventura Place property has sold with vacant possession.
The Hardings group will occupy the property at settlement in September this year. Dandenong commercial agent Mark Bond acted as conjunctional agent with the DTZ office in Mulgrave in negotiating the transaction.
