CALOUNDRA is set to become a major lifestyle and retail precinct, with Henzell Property Group plans for a new mixed-use development in the south east Queensland town.
The strategic 6177sqm site, located between Bulock Street and Omrah Avenue, will be comprised of ground floor retail and dining with at least 10 floors of residential above. above.
“The location offers everything that residents could want in a Sunshine Coast lifestyle with an easy stroll to some of Caloundra’s best beaches and shopping with Bulcock Street right at your doorstep,” said Marcus Muir, sales director at Henzell.
The development will be delivered across two stages, with the first stage including 39 apartments across 10 floors, offering two- and three-bedroom residences, a penthouse collection and amenities such as a resort style pool.
“We have had our eye on this property for some time, so what we have planned has been carefully considered. We feel this site, with the correct product mix, will be one of the most exciting launches that the Sunshine Coast will see in 2021,” said Muir.
With the site’s two-street frontage, the development will create an activated laneway for both pedestrians and vehicles, with a new sidewalk boulevard restaurant precinct.
“We have already commenced discussions with a number of dining & retail operators and there are many more who have yet to move to the Coast as they have been waiting for the perfect location,” added Muir.
The development will offer Caloundra new connection between Bicentennial Park, north of Omrah Avenue and south to the beach.
“When combined with luxurious apartments offering generous floor plans and either northern orientation or sprawling ocean views, this is exactly what the market is looking for in a coastal residence.”
Henzell has seen recent success across Queensland with the sell-out of the first release of its $200 million The Cove precinct, which is set to become the largest private development on the Sunshine Coast.
Preliminary works on the stage one of the Bulock Street and Omrah Avenue project are currently underway.
