Residential auctions have started the month of June with a fall, according to the latest Australian Property Monitor’s Home Price Guide.
According to the Home Price Guide, the residential auction market fell across all capital cities last Saturday – continuing the weekly up and down performance recorded since the start of May.
Last Saturday, 282 properties were auctioned in Sydney of which 135 were sold, resulting in a clearance rate of 55.1%.
A total of $110.7 million worth of properties were sold.
The most expensive property sold was a 3 bedroom house in Bellevue Hill by Christie’s Great Estates for $5.2 million.
In Melbourne, 529 properties went under the hammer of which 152 properties, resulting in a clearance rate of 57.6%.
The total value of properties sold was $73.8 million.
In Melbourne, a 4 bedroom house in Armadale fetched $4.44 million by Kay & Burton.
In Adelaide, 49 properties were auctioned of which 25 were sold, resulting in a clearance rate of 69.4%.
A total $7.8 million worth of properties was sold last week.
Brisbane’s market also fell with 66 auctions last Saturday.
A total of 19 properties were sold, resulting in an auction clearance rate of 33.9%.
The total value of properties sold was $7.3 million.
