JLL is recommitting to western Sydney, relocating to a recently completed prime grade space in Parramatta.
JLL will lease 1,000sqm of fit-for-purpose workspace on the 12th floor of 32 Smith Street, nearly twice the group’s current western Sydney space.
“By increasing the size of our office footprint in Western Sydney from 600 to 1000 sqm gives us space to grow the core businesses and support a locally based growing workforce,” said Peter Blade, head of the Parramatta office and head of industrial & logistics agency.
The new workspace will emphasise the changing needs and expectations from offices in a post-WFH world, with shared community and flexible working space, creativity hubs and breakout areas.
“With the aim of doubling the headcount in Western Sydney over time, the new office space has been designed as a hub of connectivity with the potential to further grow the team.”
JLL’s new office at 32 Smith, which is owned developed and operated by The GPT Group, will be designed and delivered by the group’s project management team do a fit-for-purpose workspace.
“JLL is leading the way when it comes to the future of work. This exciting move is all about giving JLL’s people the latest and greatest in cutting edge technology, sustainability and design,” said Daniel Kernaghan, managing director at JLL, NSW.
The Fender Katsalidis designed 32 Smith A Grade building boasts a 6 Star Green Star Design rating, with end-of-trip facilities, an onsite wellness room and connectivity to public transport.
“The sustainability credentials of the building will provide the platform for us to deliver on our global sustainability commitments and provide a healthy workplace for our people. We are seeking to build a sustainable environment with 6 Star Green Star accredited design of space and services,” added Blade.
The first floor of the building will also be occupied by hospitality offerings, Sir Will Expresso and WillO Restaurant and Bar.
“We are excited to be creating a community at 32 Smith which will be one of Parramatta’s standout landmarks, bolstering the City of Parramatta’s vision to transform the CBD into a world-class commercial and cultural centre,” said Matthew Faddy, head of office & logistics at The GPT Group.
