THE distinctive and dominant multi-coloured Bondi Beach corner building formerly home to Jackie’s café has sold to a local investor for $9.7 million.
Raine and Horne Double Bay’s Ric Serrao and Paul Langsam, in conjunction with Allan Levy of Metro Commrecial, sold 132 Warners Avenue on behalf of philanthropist Tanya Nelson Carnegie.
The 459 sqm property has two commercial spaces, of 185 sqm and 80 sqm that are home to Good One Café and Camilla boutique, and three two-bedroom apartments on the first floor. Pastel blue, yellow and pink sections across its exterior enhance the property’s prominence, in a position overlooking Campbell Parade towards the beach.
Nearly two years ago, Nelson Carnegie sold off two local residential holdings in quick succession for a combined $21.15 million, both through Serrao.
They included a three-bedroom penthouse within the Boheme development on Hall Street for $10.8 million, and a house on the Ben Buckler clifftop for $10.35 million.
Jackie’s Restaurant & Bar was run by the late prominent restaurateur Jackie Milijash.
