A POINT Piper estate has expectations of a $100 million record breaking sale price, as luxury residential prices soar across Sydney’s most prized pockets.
Rockleigh, a 1,284sqm estate on Wolseley Road was purchased by Philip and Valmae Rundle in 1978 for $325,000 and would be the highest Sydney sale price in two years if the sale price approached the $100 million mark.
That would make Rockleigh the top sale for 2023 ahead of the $76 million federation estate, Leura, in Bellevue Hill.
This comes just after the $80 million sale of Boomerang, a Spanish Mission mansion which featured in Mission Impossible 2.
Boomerang was the first house to officially pass a $1 million sale price in 1978, set a record in 2002 at $20.7 million before failing to sell in 2017 and 2021.
Last week, Knight Frank’s latest Wealth Report revealed 43sqm of Sydney real estate would cost you US$1 million in 2023. With Sydney seeing 2.7% growth in luxury residential property prices in the group’s latest Prime International Residential Index.
