Fiera Capital is shaking up its C-suite, appointing Maxime Ménard as global president and chief executive, effective July 1.
Before joining Fiera, Ménard spent almost 20 years at investment management firm Jarislowsky Fraser, including five years as president and chief executive.
Fiera Capital founder and current chief executive Jean-Guy Desjardins will stay on to provide strategic oversight and help steer global asset allocations.
The Montréal-based asset management firm also appointed executive director and global chief legal officer Gabriel Castiglio as executive director and global chief operating officer.
Lucas Pontillo, executive director and global chief financial officer, will see an expanded mandate to lead corporate strategy.
Castiglio and Pontillo will report to Ménard. The changes are effective July 1.
Fiera said the new structure will help the firm focus on expanding its investment capabilities, strengthen operational discipline and deepen client relationships across public and private markets.
