Daimler Chrysler Australia has just signed a lease for a major commercial vehicles showroom and service centre in Melbourne’s western suburb of Laverton North.
Daimler Chrysler has leased approximately 7,000 sqm for a brand new dealership and together with the landlord will spend over $1 million refitting the high profile former warehouse at 15-27 Marwen Drive for an opening in October this year.
The deal was brokered by Jones Lang LaSalle industrial manager Rob Mirabello who said the existing warehouse is only about six years old and sits on a two hectare site which was crucial for Daimler Chrysler as it required yard for vehicle display.
The commencing rent represents about $70 per sqm net plus GST on the GBA.
“The building is in a high profile location just off Boundary Rd in Laverton North where it has a highly visible presence that suits a sales role,” Mirabello added.
Another recent deal, which JLL has concluded in the West is a lease of 12,400 sqm of brand new Warehouse space to M3 Logistics located on Boundary Road next to Daimler Chrysler’s DC.
