THE Mt Lyndhurst pastoral zone station in South Australia has been sold under the hammer for $7.05 million.
The 3,500 sq km property is located 350km northeast of Port Augusta and attracted more than 80 enquiries, according to agent, Landmark Harcourt’s Simon McIntyre.
Pre-auction expectations for the site were at above $6 million.
The site was once part of the Beltana Pastoral Co but now stands alone, watered by 17 bores and 15 dams, and carrying 1,600 cattle and 10,000 sheep plus lambs.
Mt Lyndhurst was purchased by the Litchfield family, who own the neighbouring 2,200 sq km Mundowdna Station.
