THE New South Wales government will acquire up to 150 homes and businesses from Chatswood to Bankstown, to make way for the second stage of the Sydney Metro railway project.
Transport Minister Andrew Constance commenced the tender process, but he did not reveal the cost to acquire the properties for the latest stage of the project, which will include twin tunnels under Sydney Harbour.
“There are always going to be some sensitivities for business and for home owners and apartment owners.
“That’s why we get a professional team in place to be able to go and do that work.” Constance said.
