AN international buyer has snapped up a prime rural landholding neighbouring the esteemed Mandoon Estate in the Swan Valley for $4 million.
Established as an equestrian property, the 11.8ha property is currently used as a training and stable complex for polo horses, accommodating up to 50 horses.
CBRE agribusiness associate director Phil Melville said Mandalay, located at 26 Harris Road, Caversham, represented an outstanding opportunity to acquire a footprint in one of Perth’s most revered semi-rural locations.
“The successful purchaser was drawn to the property’s premium location bordering the Swan River and neighbouring the popular Mandoon Estate, in addition to the expansive open plan living and fantastic entertaining areas overlooking a 25 metre lap pool and manicured gardens.
“With the low Australian dollar, low interest rates and local and federal governments supporting small business development, there is strong interest in the region by investors,” Melville said.
