FORMWORK company Oneform will establish new headquarters in the Brisbane suburb of Tingalpa after paying $3 million for a vacant parcel of industrial land.
CB Richard Ellis’ Paul Barber and John Slater negotiated the sale of the 8,567 sqm site on behalf of local private developers API Nexus Pty Ltd.
Barber said the sale had been negotiated amid signs of ongoing owner occupier demand for well located industrial land.
“Historically low interest rates are underpinning demand from owner occupiers, who are taking the opportunity to buy rather than lease to capitalise on significantly lower borrowing costs,” Barber said.
Barber said the property was ideally suited to the needs of Oneform, who had approached CBRE 12 months ago seeking to purchase a vacant industrial site of about 1ha in the Southern Gateway area.
Tingalpa is an established industrial area located approximately 11kms east of the Brisbane CBD.
While the property had been DA approved for 19 strata titled industrial units, Slater said API Nexus had taken the opportunity to dispose of the property to focus on other opportunities.
Oneform will construct new headquarters on the site to accommodate their expanding business requirements.
