THE Pelligra Group has emerged as the buyer of a nearly 8.5-hectare industrial development site in Melbourne’s north-west growth corridor.
It paid $5.5 million for the triangular, Industrial 1-zoned 1-65 High Street property that has three frontages, to the Western Freeway, Melton Highway and High Street totalling 744 metres and has exposure to more than 75,000 vehicles each day.
“The ongoing growth in the residential sector within Melton creates an opportunity to engage the community to deliver further employment opportunities,” The Pelligra Group’s Ross Pelligra said.
“We intend to deliver a multi-use development encompassing office, retail and recreational activities, as well as, opportunities for bulk goods/food and drink tenancies,”
The Pelligra Group recently purchased a number of other sites in the region including the 39-hectare “Huntsman” site in Brooklyn, the Franco Cozzo showroom site in Footscray, and the 12-hectareb Marathon Foods site in Laverton.
“The area will continue to be a choice lifestyle destination as population growth continues,” Bolton said.
