A DEVELOPMENT site in the Hunter Valley tourist hub of Pokolbin has been sold to a private investor for in excess of $1 million.
Agents Ray White Hotels Australia’s Nick Maclean and Ray White Cessnock’s Chilli Bromage sold the property on behalf of a mortgagee.
Located at 770 McDonalds Rd, the 6.96 ha property at 770 McDonalds Rd, offered a nearly completed accommodation development in the heart of the Hunter Valley wine country.
“The development includes 11 modern buildings comprising 33 one and two bedroom units. We had interest in the property from a range of groups including local and interstate buyers.
“The new owner intends to finish off the development and bring the property to its full potential,” Maclean said.
Bromage said the development was located near Bimbadgen Wines and the award-winning Esca Bimbadgen restaurant.
“This is a magnificent part of the Hunter region which attracts approximately 2.3 million visitors each year,” she said.
