AMALGAMATED Holdings Limited's luxury boutique hotel brand, QT Hotels, has acquired Victoria's largest ski resort property, Quay West Falls Creek.
The property will be quickly rebranded as QT Falls Creek and opened in time for the Australian winter season, starting June 1.
Located roughly halfway between Melbourne and Canberra, QT Falls Creek comprises 63 apartments.
“With very distinctive design, this luxury 63-apartment complex represented the ideal opportunity to bring the QT Hotels & Resorts brand to Falls Creek, and it will join the newly launched QT Resorts in Port Douglas, the Gold Coast and our flagship QT Hotel Sydney,” Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL) managing director David Seargeant said.
“The QT brand is part of a global trend of design-led lifestyle hotels that provide high-energy, innovative restaurants and bars in a highly stylized design, and we look forward to bringing this experience to Falls Creek in time for this winter season,” Seargeant said.
As at its sister resorts in Sydney, Port Douglas and the Gold Coast, renowned hotel designer Nic Graham leads the charge of redesigning the QT Falls Creek.
