AUSTRALIA’S largest private rail freight company Pacific National is moving into Keppel REIT and Lendlease’s Blue & William in North Sydney.
Pacific National will occupy around 3,350sqm across the first and second floors of. The ten-storey A-grade office building at 2 Blue Street by September 2024.
The new corporate office will boast a modern fit-out designed to promote “collaboration, connection and communication”.
“We were looking for new office space that would give our people the flexibility to work in a more connected and collaborative way, while also supporting Pacific National’s efforts to reduce its businesses’ environmental footprint,” said Saskia Groen-in’t-woud, chief strategy and sustainability officer at Pacific National.
“Blue & William ticked every box, offering us everything we were after, and in a great location too.”
Completed in April 2023, Blue & William was designed by global architecture and design studio Woods Bagot and features a wellness garden, harbour views, open spaces for meetings and events, an on-site family run business, Northbrew Café, a premium lobby and end-of-trip facilities to support healthier ways to commute and connect.
“The continued strong interest in Blue and William reflects the increasing demand we are seeing across the portfolio for new, high-quality workplaces that offer leading sustainability credentials and the benefits of prime locations close to transport,” said Tom Mackellar, managing director of development at Lendlease.
Pacific National will join global data, analytics and technology company and anchor tenant Equifax, alongside other tenants including Human Synergistics.
Keppel REIT Management Limited acquired the development in December 2021, with Lendlease managing the building it developed.
The building is targeting to achieve the 5 Star Green Star Design and As Built Rating by the Green Building Council of Australia, as well as the 5.5 Stars NABERS Base Building Energy Rating.
“We are pleased to welcome Pacific National which has chosen 2 Blue Street as its new headquarters. Keppel REIT is one of Asia’s leading real estate investment trusts with a portfolio of prime commercial assets in Asia Pacific’s key business districts,” said Koh Wee Lih, CEO at Keppel REIT.
“We look forward to continue offering smart, modern and sustainable office spaces that elevate the tenant experience and inspire connections.”
