REECE Plumbing has leased a large facility at Dexus Property Group's Pound Road West Industrial Estate at Dandenong South in Melbourne's south-east.
The lease is the largest industrial leasing deal for an existing Melbourne’s south-east in three years.
Colliers International director of industrial Justin Fried said the deal would see Reece take over the former L’Oreal distribution facility at 17-45 Pound Rd West.
Fried negotiated the Pound Road West deal in conjunction with Colliers International colleague Paul Jones.
Fried said the transaction supports the popularity of Melbourne’s south east industrial precinct as a preferred location for high calibre industrial occupiers given its superior infrastructure, quality amenity and competitive rentals.
“The 24,235 sqm facility was built to exacting standards in 2003and features full concrete construction and impressive corporate offices over two levels.
“The premium warehouse facility offers full drive around access, on-grade access, recessed loading docks and abundant on site parking,” he added.
Fried said the Pound Rd West lease is only eclipsed, in size, by the pre-lease transactions for L’Oreal’s new facility of circa 30,000 sqm in Dandenong South and the 42,000 sqm pre-lease to Bunnings in Dandenong.
