S8 Limited shares soared 70 cents or 19.4% higher yesterday to close $4.30, following an announcement that the company is the target of a $700 million off-market takeover bid by MFS Limited.
More than 5.3 million shares were traded in S8.
Meanwhile, MFS shares, fell 44 cents yesterday or 10.2% lower at $3.87 on the trade of 1.7 million shares.
Yesterday, the ASX Property Index has closed 1.3% higher yesterday at 2115.6 points and the All Ordinaries Index also edged 0.5 higher to 5091.5 points.
The other positive movers were Queensland Tourism and Village Life, whilst the losers were Finbar and MacarthurCook.
