AFTER an unseasonably wet start to April, civil works at the sold-out second stage of Keylin and Kinstone Group’s $650 million Gold Coast community have finally begun.
Construction partner Greyburn has kicked off sewer works, stormwater, gas, electricity and communication services at Serenity Green, part of the Serenity 4212 Gold Coast project.
The civil works are expected to be completed in the coming months.
The third stage of the community, Serenity Reserve, was brought forward in recent months amid high enquiries the development’s first two stages. It will be a collection of 83 town homes within the Hope Island adjacent community.
Serenity Green and the first stage, Serenity Waters, sold out with more than $107 million in sales.
Greyburn’s managing director John Kearney says they are eager to start bringing the Serenity Green vision to life with the arrival of some much-needed sunshine.
“The recent and extreme wet weather has pushed out some of the original timeframe expectations, but we are very pleased to be coming out of the wetter months to finish the deep services such as sewer and stormwater,” said Kearney.
“Once we’ve established these essential services and underground networks, we can quickly advance the remainder of the project, with slabs expected to commence in a couple of months.”
Soon-to-be residents of Serenity Green can look forward to settling on their home in mid-2022.
Residents of Serenity Waters stages one and two have now reached settlement, with construction underway on the first homes. Stage three Serenity Waters lots are anticipated to settle in June this year.
The joint venture partnership between Keylin and Kinstone currently has over $250 million in its combined south east Queensland development portfolio. Earlier this year the developers acquired a strategic development site in the emerging Coomera town centre precinct. The 47.7-hectare Gold Coast purchase, at 64 Foxwell Road, will allow for 30 to 100 dwellings per hectare.
