SIMPSON Dairy Farm, covering 216 hectares in one of Australia’s most renowned dairy regions, has been listed for sale.
Colliers agents James Beer, Jesse Manuel and Jock Grimshaw have been appointed to sell the property at 1045 and 1095 New Irrewillipe Rd in Bungador, in south western Victoria, with an asking price of $3.1 million.
“The property will attract potential purchasers given its highly productive output, high quality nature of the improvements and infrastructure, its location relative to nearby towns and cities and the surrounding region’s excellent rainfall security,” Beer said.
Interest is expected from existing dairy industry participants, including both local purchasers and farmers from other dairy regions, as well as corporate purchasers looking to expand their footprint in Western Victoria.
Beer said there has also been an increase in international parties looking to invest in the sector.
Simpson Dairy Farm is landholding is located near several processing facilities and has been highly developed for dairying purposes, with a current milking capacity of about 375 cows.
The dairy operation is supported by a well-designed paddock configuration, improved pastures, fencing and stock water infrastructure, an upgraded 40-unit rotary dairy, several calf, machinery and storage sheds, and two dwellings.
The property also has an all-weather laneway system that provides access to all paddocks and is supported by an on-farm gravel deposit, fencing infrastructure and reticulated stock water to each paddock, and is in an area with a highly reliable annual rainfall average of 915 mm.
