ST George Bank has joined its rival in raising its variable home loan rate by 10 basis point hike to 9.47% – a day before the Reserve Bank meets.
Earlier last month, St George lifted its rate by 35 basis points to 9.37% following the RBA’s 0.25% rate hike.
Last week, Westpac raised its variable rate by 10 basis point to 9.37% and follows the National Australia Bank which lifted its rate by nine basis points to 9.36%.
Commonwealth Bank now has the lowest variable home loan rate stands at 9.32%.
