STOCKLAND is preparing to launch its $540 million Grandview community in Melbourne’s western growth suburb of Truganina, with sales of the 1,600-plus homes due to begin in June.
The 138-hectare community is positioned 28 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD and will feature a range of dwelling types as well as a community activity centre, local parks, 5.5-hectare sports reserve and future town centre, while plans have been made for a state primary school and a 54-hectare conservation zone.
It is positioned within the recently gazetted Mt Atkinson and Tarneit Plains Precinct, which is expected to have a population of 22,000 and a commercial business park with more than 19,000 jobs, and within three kilometres of a proposed train station on the Ballarat railway line.
