The ASX Property index fared better than most markets yesterday, closing 0.2% higher at 2085.6 points.
Whilst, the All Ordinaries closed 0.7% lower at 4904.7 points.
Yesterday, the only annual results announcements came from building materials suppliers, Boral and GWA International, which reported a fall in profits.
Boral was worst hit after posting a net profit of $362.4 million for year ending June 30, 2006 – a fall of 2% when compared $370 million in 2005.
Boral closed 31 cents lower at $6.89.
Meanwhile, GWA recorded a net profit $56.8 million for the year to June 30, 2006 – a fall of 11% when compared to $63.8 million in 2005.
Surprisingly, GWA shares closed 2 cents higher at $2.92.
Yesterday, the winners Landmark White, S8 and Axiom Properties. Cromwell, RUN Corp and Sino were amongst the losers.
