VICTORIAN based Labour Union Co Operative Retirement Fund is moving out its suburban offices to a new headquarters in Melbourne's Docklands precinct.
LUCRF Super will shack up with Lend Lease at its new HQ building at 826 Bourke Street, which is on the corner of Bourke and Merchant Streets.
LUCRF Super is currently at 552 Victoria St, North Melbourne.
The fund has committed to 3,000 sqm of office space likely on levels 3 and 4 at the property which will be owned by the Lend Lease managed Australian Prime Property Fund Commercial.
The terms of the lease are confidential.
In addition to LUCRF, Woolworths’ Victorian supermarket chain Safeway is also set to make its debut at the Docklands.
Safeway is looking to move to the ground floor, which features approximately 1,322 sqm of retail space that will likely also incorporate a café.
Finally, a childcare centre operation is earmarked for the rooftop space for the yet unnamed building.
The LUCRF deal means only 4,000 sqm of space remains to be leased by Lend Lease.
The six level building comprises 10,304 sqm of space and is expected to be completed in early 2008.
The building also boats a 6 star Green Star rating.
