NOT-for-profit superannuation fund, First State Super, has leased space at Forest Hill in Melbourne’s east.
Located within the Brentford Square shopping centre at 502 Canterbury Rd, First State will take over the 277 sqm tenancy vacated by NAB, which is moving out after more than 20 years.
Savills’ Victorian retail director Michael Di Carlo, Jeremy Marmur and Jock Thomson, negotiated the five-year deal although they declined to comment on terms.
Industry sources estimated the tenant would be in excess of $150,000 p.a.
“Brentford Square is a community shopping centre with more than 40 stores includinga full line Woolworths, Dan Murphys, KFC, Australia Post, CBA and Bakers Delight,” Di Carlo said. “As such it offered an excellent local retail catchment while the busy corner location on Canterbury and Stevens roads provided First State with the sort of high profile exposure they were seeking.”
