AUSTRALIAN family-owned sheepskin clothing manufacturer ‘UGG – Australian Made Since 1974′ has moved to a new factory at Miami on the Gold Coast.
The company owned by Larry and Kerry Watts, has relocated to the new factory and showroom at 23-25 Christine Avenue Miami in a deal negotiated by Ray White Commercial Robina’s Tony Stone and Greg Watson
Stone said UGG needed larger premises to enable the company to boost production levels and was shifting from another factory in Miami.
“They are retaining the same 4220 postcode and moving to a landmark development site on the corner of Christine Avenue and Lemana Lane which was previously the Miami Roller Skating Rink,” he said.
“The building which offers a factory and showroom of approximately 1,160 sqm has undergone significant refurbishment internally to establish larger office areas while the side street showroom allows UGG to display their ever increasing lines.”
UGG has three stores on the Gold Coast and recently opened a fourth store at The Rocks in Sydney.
The Miami factory and showroom has been secured with a three x three-year lease at a net rental rate industry sources estimate to be approximately $120,000 per annum.
