ASX-listed Viva Energy REIT has continued its acquisition streak, purchasing a large Shell/Coles Express and truck stop site in Halfway Creek for $7 million.
The off-market transaction comes only a month after Australia’s only listed pure-play service station property trust announced its maiden acquisitions since debuting on the ASX in August.
The site of more than six hectares is at 4979 Pacific Highway on the state’s mid-north coast, about 70km north-west of Coffs Harbour, and offers future development potential.
Ray White’s Luke Wray negotiated the sale in an off-market transaction, saying a Brisbane-based investment firm was originally interested in the site before discussions with Viva began.
It brings Viva’s portfolio to $2 billion across 429 service stations in all states and territories of Australia.
