AN approved mixed-use development site in Melbourne’s inner western suburb of Williamstown has sold for $3.3 million – more than doubling the previous sale price only two years ago.
Fitzroys’ agents James Gregson and Michael Ryan sold the sale via an expressions of interest campaign.
The 102 Douglas Parade, Williamstown property sold two years ago for $1.6 million.
The 828sqm site was sold with approved plans and permit for a mixed use development comprising nine townhouses and one commercial/retail space.
Ryan said the property received interest from purchasers looking to capitalise on the buyer demand for Williamstown and its immense growth prospects.
“The property offered the best elements of the sought-after suburb, in a prime location just 500 metres from its famous waterfront, and on the fringe of the prime section of the highly regarded Douglas Parade retail strip,” he added.
Gregson said Fitzroys had listed another site in a key Williamstown position for sale, a corner property at 60 Ferguson St and 3 Coxs Garden, going to auction on 13 August.
