XXIII Capital has named Phil Brown chief operating officer, Green Street News can reveal.
Brown, who took up the position on May 1, is based out of Calgary and reports to managing partner Matt Rachiele and the company’s board.
He joins XXIII Capital after more than six years at Hopewell Development, departing as senior vice president of acquisitions and leasing. He also worked for One Properties, Triovest and BGO.
At XXIII Capital, Brown’s objectives include institutional-calibre asset management and project execution on XXIII’s properties.
The industry veteran will also serve a leading role in the sourcing, negotiations and acquisition of new industrial properties, and generally support the company’s portfolio growth through the deployment of Origins Fund I LP, Gemini Fund LP and future fund capital.
