Avison Young’s Brett Armstrong has been named the new managing director for the firm’s operations in Vancouver.
Armstrong will begin his new role Monday, Dec. 2 overseeing the execution of AY’s business plan to increase market share in the region.
Joining the firm in 2012, he most recently held the role of principal and senior vice president of leasing in Vancouver.
Mark Fieder, principal and president of AY Canada, said Armstrong has been a top producer for the company during the last 10 years, praising his experience as vital to his new leadership role.
“Brett’s commitment to building the prominence of Avison Young in the region is a strategic priority that I embrace as Vancouver remains a key market in Canada,” Fieder said in a press release.
The release said Armstrong was selected after an extensive search considering both external and internal candidates. In it, Armstrong said his experience on the leasing team in Vancouver has given him insights into the city’s market.
“I look forward to collaborating with all parts of the firm to demonstrate how truly integrated we are, to elevate the Avison Young brand and to help our people shine.”
