CB Richard Ellis has promoted Mike Steur to the new role of executive managing director of valuations and advisory services for the Asia Pacific region.
Steur will relocate from Sydney to Hong Kong next month to take up the new role.
CBRE chairman & CEO Asia Pacific Rob Blain said the appointment was a significant development for the firm’s VAS business line.
“Mike will be concentrating on developing flows of business across the region, working with REITs, international banks, high net worth clients, and global corporations. Being able to access regional and international service platforms is critical in terms of servicing our clients well and delivering true value,” he added.
Steur will be supported in Asia by a strong existing executive team including Danny Mohr in Singapore, Kam-hung Yu in Greater China and Yumiko Kikuchi and Yoshihiro Yajima in Tokyo.
In Australia, Peter Fay will assume responsibility for CBRE’s VAS business whilst Stephen Dunlop will continue to guide the VAS business in New Zealand, Kane Sweetman will manage the international valuations component for Australia and NZ.
