PCN Projects has commenced construction on the new $15 million Graceville Quarter mixed-use project.
The project is located in Graceville, a riverside suburb in Brisbane’s south west. The development will include a mix of services and businesses, with tenants to include a café patisserie, hairdressing salon, medical centre, podiatrist and occupational therapist.
More than 75% of space in the precinct, which will feature 450 sqm of street-level retail space and 1,000 sqm of prime commercial space, has already been leased.
PCN director Solly Preller said the project would rejuvenate the heart of Graceville, which lacked new commercial space.
“We saw the need to deliver quality new office and retail space in Graceville and this site is in a prime location to do so, on the corner of two busy streets at the centre of the suburb.
“The strong pre-commitment we have received prior to the start of construction shows the pent-up demand that has existed for this type of product,” he added.
Race Property director Graeme Wakefield, who is handling the leasing campaign, said the project’s location, quality and facilities, including underground parking, had been attractive to tenants.
“Businesses are keen to be part of a quality new development like this, particularly in an area such as Graceville, where there is a significant residential population and very little commercial or retail offerings.
“The interest in the remaining space is strong and we are seeking more commercial businesses, restaurants and medical services to add to the mix on offer at Graceville Quarter,” Wakefield concluded.
