LOGISTICS giant Toll Group has snapped up a 15 ha development lot at LandCorp’s Gap Ridge industrial estate in Western Australia's Pilbara region.
Toll will develop a fully operational transport centre for the majority of its Karratha business services, comprising warehouses, workshops, offices and driver exchanges.
WA regional development and lands minister Brendon Grylls said the decision by Toll to locate at the estate provided further evidence the state government was delivering high quality industrial land, tailored to the needs of major businesses.
“For Toll Group, the site provides a strategic development opportunity, due to its proximity to key markets in the resources sector,” he added.
Located 9km west of Karratha on corner of Dampier Hwy and Seven Mile Rd, Gap Ridge will be one of WA’s largest regional industrial estates, with a total of 108 lots across 260 ha.
Companies that have purchased at Gap Ridge include Toll, Monadelphous, Centurion, Swire Oilfield Services, Coates Hire, Mobile Concreting Solutions and Karratha Panel & Paint, just to name a few.
