JAPANESE retailer Uniqlo will open its first suburban store in Australia, after securing space at CFS Retail Property Trust's Chadstone shopping centre.
Uniqlo launched into Australia this year when it opened its flagship store at CFS’ Emporium centre in the Melbourne CBD and followed up with a second store in MidCity in Pitt St, Sydney.
The Japanese retailer has leased 1,132 sqm at Chadstone.
Uniqlo CEO Shoichi Miyasaka said opening its first suburban Australian store at Victoria’s ‘Fashion Capital’ is an exciting next step.
“Chadstone is a brewing hub for Australian and international fashion, and we’re thrilled to join the precinct by offering a Uniqlo retail experience and sharing our ‘LifeWear’ philosophy with Australian customers,” Miyasaka said.
