AUSTRALIAN Unity has bought its second property in Port Macquarie and its 15th in New South Wales and Victoria.
Australian Unity has bought a partially-completed village on the Oxley Highway in Port Macquarie called Oxley Gardens.
The Over-55 community will be renamed Sienna Grange and when completed will comprise 67 villas.
‘Sienna Grange’ will be built progressively over the next 12 months and is adjacent to developable land on which AU could expand, over time.
Australian Unity’s group executive of retirement living services Derek McMillan said Sienna Grange will provide an affordable, high quality, secure lifestyle accessible to most people aged 55 and over.
“We understand how important it is for everybody to feel that they have a place of their own; where they can be in charge of things and make their own decisions. We will bring our ‘Come Home to Something Special’ approach to village management to Sienna Grange as well as the values of trust and integrity reflected in the Australian Unity brand,” he added.
Australian Unity currently owns and operates the ‘Governors Retirement Resort’ at 166 Riverpark Road, Port Macquarie, which comprises 36 two-bedroom and three-bedroom independent living units, and 41 serviced apartments.
