CIMIC’s Middle Eastern arm, Habtoor Leighton Group (HLG), has won a QR580 million (A$215 million) contract to deliver the Al Mutahidah Towers by United Development Company (UDC).
HLG will construct twin 25 storey residential towers consisting of 480 apartments, two parking levels, ground floor entrance lobby and amenities/entertainment areas with a gross floor area of 160,500 sqm.
“HLG established an office in Doha, Qatar in 2005 and, since then, has demonstrated its ability to deliver high quality projects for clients in the area. We are happy that HLG has secured this important project and will deliver a high standard result for UDC,” CIMIC CEO Adolfo Valderas said.
Al Mutahidah Towers is located in the beach front precinct of Viva Bahriya at the Pearl-Qatar, UDC’s flagship project and one of the largest urban developments in Qatar.
Construction will start in February 2017 and is scheduled for completion in third quarter of 2019.
