HIGH profile local businessman and horse trainer Viv Oldfield has acquired the 324,400-hectare Maryvale Station, south of Alive Springs, for $15 million.
Oldfield bought the cattle station from the Goldsworthy Family via Panchek Pty Ltd, trustee of the Oldfield Family Trust.
He also jointly manages Andado Station, Horseshoe Bends and New Crown in central Australia, and owns Tanami Transport.
In 2016 he joined up with members of cattle and transport dynasties to bid for the S Kidman and Co properties that were eventually sold to Gina Rinehart and a Chinese business partner.
Maryvale was offered with around 4,000 cattle. Improvements include a three-bedroom main home, four-bedroom staff home, workers’ quarters, two sets of cattle years and 14 trap paddocks.
The Finke and Hugh Rivers run through the station.
