MELBOURNE’S long-touted most expensive penthouse within Devitt Property Group’s high-end St Kilda Road development, The Muse, has hit the market with a price tag of around $45 million.
On the corner of Toorak Road, The Muse will have up to 42 residences over 14 levels and six-star amenities, fronting Fawkner Park and north-facing views over the Shrine of Remembrance and Royal Botanic Gardens towards the CBD.
Set break the Victorian price record, the 1,001 sqm penthouse will occupy the top two levels plus 190 sqm of outdoor terrace and offer 360-degree views that also take in Port Phillip Bay and Albert Park Lake. It features double-height voids, ensuite bedrooms – with the centrepiece a gold-plated toilet – guest suite, theatre, billiard room, wine room, gym, butler’s pantry, separate caterers’ kitchen, study and steam room, and a curved, in-ground pool on the top floor terrace.
The current penthouse price benchmark is $25 million, set in 2015 within the under-construction Australia 108 tower, which will become the country’s tallest building to roof height upon completion.
Designed by Bruce Henderson Architects, homes in The Muse start from $3.2 million for 219 sqm offerings plus 21 sqm of balcony. Amenities include a grand entrance foyer, a 20-metre lap pool, relaxation pool, spa, gym with sauna and steam rooms, and a lounge with private meeting rooms.
The Muse will also have full home automation and the security technologies including facial recognition and fingerprint scanning.
Entrance to the project’s two-level display residence at the top of the site’s existing building will be by invitation only following its late-October launch.
