JAPANESE logistics company Nippon Express has signed a $30 million pre-commitment deal for a 19,000 sqm distribution centre within 151 Property’s Boundary Estate in Laverton North.
Nippon Express will surrender leases at smaller existing sites at Tullamarine and Truganina, and sublease ahead of their seven year tenure.
The new prime grade distribution centre in Melbourne’s west will be fully drive around with 13.7 metres internal clearance height and a 30 metre awning.
Nippon Express’ new facility is due for completion in May 2020.
Hugh Gilbert and David Follacchio of Colliers negotiated the deal.
