SCHNEIDER electric has signed on as a technology partner for the 1000 La Trobe St office tower project, to guarantee the delivery of a sustainably smart building.
The 40,000sqm development in Melbourne’s Docklands, will feature a cloud-hosted EcoStructure solution to enable the 24-storey tower to host digital services, including Building Management and Energy Management Systems, EV chargers and building analytics.
“1000 La Trobe will be Melbourne’s next smart building, sustainable, resilient, hyper efficient and people centric,” said Keith Miller, sales director digital buildings at Schneider Electric.
Schneider’s Integrated System Platform will allow for enhanced room booking systems, density management and improved digitisation of remote working.
“The integrated system platform will essentially provide a single view into the building’s multiple smart technologies. The connected and integrated technologies allow for significant sustainability insights,” said Miller.
“Covid-19 has emphasised the demand for smart and digitally connected buildings that make workplaces more dynamic, resilient, safe as well as efficient.”
The building analytics proposed for the tower will allow any electrical issues to be addressed before they become problems, with Power Advisor working to avoid any intrusive electrical shutdowns and unplanned outages, while metering ensures the best possible NABERS performance.
“With developers, owners and operators looking to attract tenants in a challenging market, Schneider Electric technology builds valuable points of data, enabling tenants to make informed and smart decisions on their use of space,” concluded Miller.
The base build for the development is scheduled for a mid to late 2021 completion.
