FOLLOWING a boom in sales in the second half of 2020, 4WD Supacentre is moving its Victorian display centre and showroom to a new 1.4 hectare warehouse at Pellicano’s Innovation Park estate in south east Melbourne.
The deal arrives at the same time Pellicano secures an expansion deal at the same estate with another auto company, National Tyre & Wheel, which is adding 8,975 sqm of space to its existing facility to consolidate and incorporate its Tyres 4U operations.
4WD Supacentre signed a seven year pre-commitment for a 13,603 sqm industrial warehouse and agreed to pay a net rate of $95 per sqm.
Both business’s offerings have benefited from the surge in local, rural camping and adventure recreation over the past 12 months, as four-wheel drive enthusiasts, adventurers, campers, fishers, and hikers explore the Australian landscape while international borders remain shut.
“We are predicting strong activity at our new facility in Dandenong South, especially given the location, which will provide us with great visibility for passers-by, providing tourists heading to Victoria’s eastern regions with an easy location to stop at before their travel,” 4WD Supacentre said.
Its new showroom, located on Frankston-Dandenong Road, is due to open to the public late 2021.
That deal was negotiated by Gordon Code and James Stott of Colliers.
Pellicano managing director Renato Pellicano said the expansions are indicative of the sector experiencing extraordinary growth in Victoria.
