SOON after selling out its trio of luxury Gold Coast apartment projects, developer Spyre Group has been given the green light by the Gold Coast City Council for a new residential beachfront tower on the site of the Komune Resort.
Spyre Group bought the Coolangatta site at 144 Marine Parade for its new project, Cala Dei, earlier this year. It redrew the previous owner’s plans for 27-storey tower on the 860 sqm site in favour of a 12 storey building with two and three bedroom residences.
The developer’s director Andrew Malouf said that Cala Dei has already gained significant interest even prior to market release.
Malouf said Cala Dei’s design embraces the unique headland setting. A pool, spa and sunbathing deck will be tied together by a water feature with expansive dining and entertaining precinct framed by lush greenery.
Spyre Group has sold out its Gold Coast developments, the $79 million Elysian, $77 million Natura and $25 million MAYA, most of which sold during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“A major key to our success on the Gold Coast has been the ability to secure the best beachfront sites in unique and highly sought-after locations,” Malouf said.
The group has become one of the most active along the coastal strip, attracting local downsizers and interstate buyers and tipping the value of complete and future projects over the $320 million mark across the city’s beachside suburbs.
