SYDNEY’S largest single-level apartment has hit the market with a $32 million price guide, as media heiress and granddaughter of the late Kerry Packer, Francesca Packer-Barham lists her penthouse in the award-winning Horizon building.
The five-bedroom, five-ensuite bathrooms plus powder room 565sqm apartment at 185 Forbes Street in Darlinghurst is completely self-contained and features 360-degree views of Sydney’s skyline and iconic harbour landmarks.
David Malouf from Highland Double Bay, alongside Monika Tu and Jad Khattar of Black Diamondz, have been exclusively appointed to manage the dale of the inner-city residence.
Designed by renowned architect Harry Seidler with an interior remodel by Mim Design, the residence also includes eight-car spaces, an open plan marble kitchen with butler’s pantry, wine cellar, marble fireplace, media room and four balconies.
As well as a private lift lobby, keyless entry, fingerprint scanning and facial recognition access, enabling separate access if required.
“There are several homes in the Eastern Suburbs listed at price points exceeding $50-70 million, raising the question of where these owners will go next,” said Malouf.
“Francesca’s apartment perfectly aligns with the expectations of buyers at this level, offering the ultimate in sophistication and grandeur.”
James Packer’s niece first purchased the level 40 apartment in October 2019 for $16.75 million and has made the decision to sell four years later as she spends more time in London.
“The demand for substantial apartments over 400sqm internally is incredibly high, both among expats and locals. This residence meets this demand, providing an offering that is currently lacking in supply in the Eastern Suburbs,” added Malouf.
“Interest in the property has already been substantial, even prior to its official market listing, underscoring the pent-up demand for residences of this calibre.”
