Matthew Hudson has been appointed as the new managing partner of Balfour Pacific after serving as chief operating officer and managing director of investments, Green Street News can reveal.
Hudson, based in Vancouver, reports to the trustees of Balfour Pacific’s sponsor, the Belzberg family office.
The appointment was effective May 1. Hudson took over for Mark Scott, who departed to pursue other opportunities.
Hudson’s objectives are to lead Balfour Pacific into its next phase of growth as the firm continues to deliver value to stakeholders and capitalize on market opportunities.
Balfour Pacific is a private equity real estate firm focusing on investments in North America. The firm and its sponsor, the Belzberg family, manage approximately $400m in committed real estate capital and assets on behalf of institutions and high-net-worth investors.
