AMP Capital Shopping Centres has made several key appointments.
Mark Kirkland has been appointed as head of development, David Woodcock as general manager major project delivery and Simon Van de Velde as divisional leasing manager – projects to oversee the $2 billion retail development pipeline.
AMP Capital Shopping Centre managing director Bryan Hynes said the new appointments will complement the existing teams that will be a key part of delivering the development pipeline.
“We’ve hired some of the best development and leasing talent in Australia to deliver our $2 billion development pipeline.
“We now have the strongest project development and leasing team to lead our major redevelopments at Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast, Macquarie Centre and Marrickville Metro in Sydney and Garden City Booragoon and Ocean Keys in Perth,” Hynes said.
Kirkland has over 20 years’ experience in Australian and UK retail property development and was most recently at Stockland where he was regional development manager within the commercial property division. He has also held roles at GPT Group and Lend Lease Corporation.
Woodcock has over 35 years experience in the construction industry including senior roles at Laing O’Rourke, Leighton Contractors and Bovis Lend Lease.
Whilst Van de Velde has over 20 years’ experience in shopping centre development and comes from Westfield Group where he was project leasing manager. He has also held roles at Citta Property Group in Korea and Taiwan and Lend Lease Corporation.
