A SIX-bedroom Bellevue Hill house in Sydney’s inner-east has sold for over $18 million, well exceeding the $15.75 million reserve on the Tzannes Architects-designed home.
22 Ginahgulla Road in Bellevue Hill was the home of late fashion designed Edwina Horseman, located on a circa 1,025sqm lot, around 5km out from the Sydney CBD with northerly views of the harbour.
Alexander Phillips and Vince Licata from PPD Real Estate managed the sale of the property, which sold to a new private owner prior to auction.
The home includes landscaping by Peter Fudge, featuring a heated saltwater pool, with the garden added when it was under the ownership of investment banker, Tony O’Sullivan.
The property sold in 2004 for $3.45 million, before O’Sullivan purchased the house when it was listed in 2010 with a $10 million price guidance, with Horseman spending $6.95 million in 2012.
With views extending Bradleys Head and Taronga Zoo, the six-bedroom home includes five bathrooms, with a parent’s retreat, private guest wing and parking for four cars with internal access to a double garage.
The property sits within walking distance of The Scots College and close proximity of Double Bay’s harbour beaches and marinas.
The transaction follows the sale of Tamarama point landmark, Lang Syne, which was listed for $50 million and set a record for Sydney eastern beaches and oceanfront suburbs in NSW.
Sydney recently ranked 10th in the World’s Top 10 Wealthiest Cities and beat out Geneva and Paris for super prime residential sales activity.
