The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has applied to the Federal Court in Perth to wind up Lanepoint Enterprises.
According to ASIC records, the sole director of Lanepoint Enterprises is Karen Carey, the sister of former Westpoint director Norm Carey.
Karen Carey took over as director of another of her brothers Allan Carey on April 13, 2006.
The sole shareholder of Lanepoint is a company called Bowesco Pty Ltd, which is subject to orders obtained by ASIC and of which Karen Carey is the sole director.
Last Friday, ASIC said Lanepoint has links to the collapsed Westpoint Group.
ASIC alleges that Lanepoint is insolvent and is seeking the appointment of Simon Read and Andrew Birch of PPB as liquidators.
The matter will return to court for a directions hearing on July 18, 2006 at 10.15am.
