AN East Toowoomba corner development site, home to the Weis Seafood Smorgasbord Restaurant for more than 40 years, has sold for $3 million.
The 4,842sqm site at 2 Margaret Street, or the corner of Tourist Road, is zoned Low-Medium Density Residential/Urban Residential Precinct, allowing for a range of uses including multi-level residential, multi-level motel, offices and retail shops, as well as being returned to restaurant use.
It has off-street parking for 69 cars and two street frontages.
Mike Stewart of LJ Hooker Commercial Toowoomba negotiated the sale.
The property is located close to the Warrego Highway, which is the eastern entrance point to Toowoomba, and Redwood Park.
