A TRIPLE treat of mixed-use and residential development sites in Canberra’s Woden Green Estate have been offered to the market.
The estate is a new residential precinct within the Woden town centre, 8km south of the CBD.
The three sites total 14,996sqm and are being offered with the option to purchase individually or in one line.
CBRE agents Andrew Stewart and Mark Nicholls are marketing the properties on behalf of Hindmarsh via expressions of interest closing Thursday, April 20.
The first site covers 1,712sqm and is being offered with a Medium Density Residential zoning; whilst the second and third sites are both zoned Business and encompass 6,063sqm and 7,221sqm respectively.
Stewart said the three development sites represented a strong investment opportunity considering the state government’s commitment to reviving Woden and preparing the town for anticipated population growth.
According to Transport Canberra, 210,000 Canberra residents will live, work or study within one kilometre of Woden by 2041. The ACT state government recently unveiled plans to revitalise Woden town centre, including diversifying land uses to encourage residential development and economic activity and upgrading public spaces.
Stewart said the purchaser has the flexibility to design a number of different schemes for each site and tailor the developments to capitalise on surrounding leisure centres, offices, education establishments and transport routes, including the impending light rail network.
